International Organization for Standardization (ISO) officially released the occupational health and safety management system standard iso45001:2018 on March 12, 2018. The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) also proposed the requirements of applying iso45001 as certification standard in the field of occupational health and safety management. The National Accreditation Commission for China qualification assessment issued the document on the conversion of certification standards from gb/t28001-2011 to iso45001:2018, which requires that the conversion of OHSMS related field certification standards be completed by March 12, 2021. All organizations applying for or having obtained the gb/t28001-2011 standard certification shall pay attention to the new iso45001:2018 standard and plan the standard conversion work in a planned way.

ISO 45001 is built on the existing OHSAS 18001 specifications, and its main objectives are the same, all of which are aimed at improving the occupational health and safety performance of the organization. There are also differences:
